Met a recruiter at a career fair. Had a zoom interview. Asked OOP questions and C specific questions. Good to know SQL too. They use C# . For their second interview they ask more logic questions. They asked if I would be okay with moving every 2-3 years.

I had two interviews. The first one was a short 30 minute video call. I was asked about OOP and SQL. The second interview was a month out, but this gave me time to learn SQL. The second interview was 2 hours long and also a video call. I did their version of an IQ test, which involved word scrambles, simple math, and pattern recognition. I would say this was very easy, and only one of the math questions I worked out on paper instead of in my head. After the IQ test, I met with a team and project lead. They asked me about my life experiences which led to where I am today. Then they asked me some riddles that we worked through together. Finally we did a technical assessment where I wrote pseudocode to find the first 100 primes, and then a few SQL joins. This is my first technical interview for my upcoming career change, and I cannot emphasize how positive the interview process went! I believe there was great energy, especially in the second interview. The one thing that stuck out the most was when the interviewers told me they were more interested in my thought process than the answers. This really rung true with me, and I think they liked my energy when reaching an answer. I was offered a position for more than I was asking. I am very excited to work for this company and I feel they highly value their employees from the way I was treated and the benefit package.
