      Entretien

I was contacted by their company and asked to apply for the role online. I did so. I had some great interviews with HR and moved forward to the hiring manager. He stood me up for the first interview and it was rescheduled. He tried to blame the whole thing on me, despite me even calling him/HR to ensure the interview was still on 5 and 15 minutes into the schedule interview. During the interview I could not get a word in. He was very egotistical, sexist and bombastic. He had no idea about Agile and was asking me for advice and when I was talking to him about it he kept interrupting me to tell me how he was a former VP there and really wanted to get into innovation and Agile. It was more about him than I. He was concerned about child care issues as I was a woman and nothing about my Certifications as an Agile Coach, Scrum Master, and Product Owner with 20 actual years of Fortune 500 IT and Management experience working with software and application development for some pretty big industry players. After the interview I received an email saying I was not a fit. The team is mostly comprised of uncertified or inexperienced folks forced into Agile roles because "we have to be Agile now". So they are trying to do Agile Transformation without understanding Agile or how it impacts the company and culture from the top down and are hiring uncertified and unqualified people to do it. I am pretty sure if I was a man, I would have been more of an appealing hire. Clearly I would have made him look bad as a professional with more certifications and experience. To this day, many on the Agile team can't believe I don't work there as I am so well respected within the international Agile community.
