Entretien
I interviewed via the website. I communicated with a HR person via email and was scheduled for a phone screen with another HR person. The conversation was pleasant, and I was promised a 1:1 interview with the Director of Product.
The director was traveling, so the interview was pushed a week.
Interview day arrived, and the Director was pleasant and fairly direct. Asked generic questions about my background but did not seem particularly interested.
The bulk of the interview was drawing up a MVP for an online betting platform, which I thought was a particularly thoughtful process. A few parameters were given, but most of it was fairly open ended.
I had about 40 minutes and had drawn up a basic feature set and had set to work on the login screen and screens beyond.
(I worked alone for the majority of this time).
After the allocated time period, the director came back and asked some questions about how the UI/UX looked once the user had logged in -- asked some thoughtful questions revealing a gap in the bet creation process -- I immediately caught on that the bet proposal needed some options on outcomes.
The director eventually asked some generic interview questions (What were you most surprised by what I asked? What did you think I was going to ask but didn't? If I were to call your former boss, what would they say was the worst thing about you?), proclaimed that I had done "great" and said that they would follow up with a second round with more of their team.
I asked a few questions about what he felt was lacking in my resume, and he said that he didn't know whether I knew about Ad Tech -- I felt that this showed a lack of understanding of the company I had previously worked at (for four years) and I attempted to allay his concern.
