      Candidature

J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 3 jours. J'ai passé un entretien chez ExecOnline (Tampa, FL) en oct. 2018

      Entretien

I had two interviews with 2 different recruiters from the same recruiting company. One who called me and her colleague. It was weird. CTO of the company wouldn't talk to her directly and she always had to go through her colleague to reach him. After the first 2 interviews with the recruiters, I was scheduled to have a tech interview with CTO of the company. One of the recruiters called me just before the time scheduled for the interview and asked me if I will be okay with rescheduling later in the day. I agreed but then CTO stood me up. He never called me. Recruiters were super apologetic and said he was in the middle of taking on a rather big new project so he couldn't step away. Lame excuse after practically wasting my whole day. So they asked me if I could reschedule and I agreed. Again, a few hours before the interview, one of the recruiters called me and told me that there was a mixup and the actual interview day is the next day. It was quite irritating as I had scheduled to take my 3 year old kid to an event right at when the actual interview time they setup. I decided to give one more chance and asked hired a babysitter to take my son to the event. Somehow I had this gut feeling that something felt a bit off. I told the recruiter it better be solid this time since I am picking interview over a promise with son. She sures this time it's 1000% solid. Next day, right at when interview was supposed to happen, my phone rings from "No Caller ID", ONCE. Just ONCE. I pick it up and whoever called hangup on me. 5 minutes later I get a call from this "middle" recruiter guy asking me if my phone is working. Well, we are talking so obviously it is working. My rington is verizon's default elevator music. Apparently CTO heard music instead of phone ring, so HE HUNG UP. WTF?????? Who does that? I even forgot that I had that rington since it's been forever I had set any rington and NO ONE EVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT IT. Then the recruiter assures me that CTO will be calling me soon. 10 minute passed by since and still nothing. I get a text from recruiter if he had called me. I said no. another 5 minutes passes by and I had enough of their BS. I texted recruiter and told her to forget about the whole thing. I already missed the event with my son for no reason and if I had to wait another minute for this CTO guy I would blow myself up with anger and beat myself up for missing my son'e event because of this rude weirdo. How insulting this whole experience has been is an understatement. In a way I am glad it did not work out. What a nightmare it must be to work for someone like that.
