Applied online through a career website. Client was not disclosed in the application. Was contacted a week later for a Skype interview. The cc person was very impressed and couldn't wait to pitch me to the client. When the client was disclosed, I mentioned I had applied to them in the past. They informed me this may disqualify me, but would let me know. After a few days and an ignored email later, I called and had to go through three people and keep asking my same question. Finally someone was able to "look up my notes" to see that even though I was highly qualified for the position, I was disqualified due to applying within the past year with a company directly.
