I was invited to apply to Eventbrite after a brief interview with a recruiter and engineering manager during a career day. They were very nice, straightforward about the process, and always kept me in the loop as to how their recruiting process worked. I didn't really get a sense of exactly what they were looking for in a candidate, however, or possibly my prior experience was not important to them in this particular position.
