Envision Consulting was the firm helping to hire for this position at a nonprofit. The job application was through Envision. On the application they asked several questions that required very thoughtful responses. It felt like a little too much for a job application. More like for a job interview. After two weeks I was called for an in-person interview directly with the employer. And during the interview the person mentioned something about expanding upon my answers in the first interview... This was the first interview, but he was referring to one of the questions on the job application. So it sounds me that Envision told the employer (their client) that they had conducted a round of initial interview when in fact they just included the questions on the job app. It put me, the job seeker, in an awkward position.
