I was invited to what was described as “a quick phone call” with this employer, only to join and realise it was actually a formal interview involving two other parties. Not only that, but it was held as a Teams video call, which was misleading as a “quick phone call” suggests the phone function would be used. I was therefore immediately at a disadvantage, as I had not prepared for a formal Teams interview. At the end of the interview, I was assured they would “get back to everyone” because they are “that kind of employer”. Needless to say, after three or four follow ups, the employer has remained radio silent. A very strange recruitment process, misleading, disadvantageous, and radio silent with no feedback. Avoid.
