I got a phone interview. Then got a face to face interview. Then got a second interview with the manager. m I was told they are looking for someone like me in the first face to face interview. They took over a week to reply back to me with a rejection. They said I did not have the skills or experience to match what they are looking for. On the website they required a bachelors in finance or accounting and basic knowledge of Microsoft word and excel. That is word for word from their website. I had both of those credentials. But was not given the job.

There were 3 interviews, all behavioral and similar questions, where they wanted to see you utilize the STAR method.
1. Intro interview with an HR person.
2. Interview with 2 supervisor level accountants in person.
3. Interview with business manager and controller in person.
They want to see your personality and the things that are “unteachable”. They coach you after each interview if you ask.

Interview Summary:
Format: The interview was conducted in person at the Irving office with both the manager and supervisor present.
Style of Questions:
Behavioral Questions: Most of the interview focused on behavioral questions, where I was asked to describe how I handled situations in past roles.
These typically followed the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result).
Example topics included: teamwork, conflict resolution, meeting deadlines, handling pressure, and communication.
Hypothetical Questions: There were also a few hypothetical questions, where they asked how I would handle certain situations if they came up in the future.
These were designed to test my problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and alignment with company values.AL

Entretien
1st round with recruiter through linkedin, 2nd round with recruiter manager, and third with regional manager. If they don't want someone they should reject on 1st or 2nd round, rejecting on 3rd round makes no sense for $29/hr role.
