      Entretien pour Sales Management Trainee

      Employé (anonyme)
      Portland, OR
      Offre acceptée
      Expérience positive
      Entretien difficile

      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 1 semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez Enterprise Mobility (Portland, OR)

      Entretien

I sought this position at the age of 30 with about 3 jobs behind me and went through 4 interviews: 1.) Phone interview with HR recruiter (30 min): Tell me about a time you had a difficult customer. A time you had to bring a group of people together towards a common goal. A time when you displayed leadership qualities. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Why Enterprise? The best and worst part about your last job? A time when you persuaded a customer to see things your way. A time you had a disagreement with your boss. 2.) Face to face interview with same HR Recruiter (60 min): Tell me about yourself. Describe a time when you were in a competitive environment/situation. A time you were in a situation so difficult that it brought you to your breaking point. A time you had to think on your feet to extricate yourself from a difficult situation. A time when you found it difficult to build a successful relationship with a colleague. 3.) Panel Interview with Branch and Area Manager (45 min): Some similar S.T.A.R. format questions that I answered the exactly same way and then some additional questions: What are your career goals? What do you expect to gain from this company? What do you expect from management at this company? 4.) Face to face with Group Manager: Most questions focused on my past work experience and the reasons behind why I chose those jobs, why I left, and again what my future goals are with my career. I had to explain all past sales goals and how I attained those goals.

      Question 1

A few questions in the panel interview (#3) were rooted in the "Why Enterprise?" question-- I was prepared to answer this ONE way, but they caught me off guard when they kept digging deeper. I had to come up with other reasons that backed up my already prepared answer.

Everything was really cordial and loose until the final interview with management. HR forgot to notify me that I had moved on after the first round of interviews and I had to call them to follow up.

The first-round interview was great. It had a more casual, conversational feel to it than many other interviews I had in the past. The recruiter was clearly very knowledgeable and helpful in answering my questions regarding the nature of the work, pay structure, and what growth looks like within the company.

Applied Online. Recruiter reached out to schedule the zoom interview. Received an email saying how they prohibit the use of AI. Yet every question they asked me was scripted AI. I asked AI in advance what typical questions I should expect. Every question they asked was what I saw in AI. I detest behavioral questions as I'm just not the type to memorize answers and feed ppl with lame info. On 2 occasions, I was asked to clarify as I didn't give the precise answers they wanted. When it was my turn to ask questions, the recruiter completely flopped. Rambled and didn't come close to answering me. I did the same thing, where I said you didn't answer my question. What happened? Another incoherent word salad response. So you expect candidates to reel off perfect answers but you can't answer a simple question about your company....You can tell in the first 5 seconds this is a sweatshop. Very cold and uber structured process. So it sets a tone where they really don't get the best from you. They are very transparent, as they give you an offramp very quickly to say this isn't for me. But just like so many companies data mine candidates, we can do the same. It's like taking batting practice off a machine vs someone throwing 100 mph and then you get a changeup at 86. So I enjoy getting my AB's when I knew this place would never see my value

      Question 1

Ask AI what questions to expect. 100% of what they asked was there.
