Beware of this company and job advertisement!
I applied to the job advertisement on RemoteHub as they were offering a high hourly wage for the job requirements.
I got a response almost immediately for an 'Invitation for an Online Interview' from John Rutherford, I looked him up and it appears to be the only employee at the company.
I gave them my information, regrettably and sent an email to ownurtruth1965@gmail.com. Their "HR Manager".
There was a form I completed and then was requested to send a photo of my driver's license and a utility bill verifying my address.
I questioned this as they mentioned they were still reviewing the form I submitted previously, they should only need more identity information once I was the chosen candidate.
I got the response: "Okay, This is the due process that I am allowed to carry out as a hiring manager but I do understand your plight, nevertheless, you are in the final stage of the onboarding process which will lead to the issuance of your offer letter and start-up payment. As you may know, our organization is affiliated with Avail, a leading platform for screening our employees. This partnership is crucial as we are entrusted with handling our clients' data on our system, a task which you will become more acquainted with through additional training. To complete the final step of the onboarding process, Avail will send you a verification code twice. You must promptly share each code with me as soon as you receive it. This verification process is designed to take approximately 10-15 minutes. By following this procedure, we ensure that only authorized employees receive the offer letter and can commence work once it is signed. I appreciate your cooperation in this matter, and I am confident that you will seamlessly navigate through this final stage. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or encounter any issues during the process. Thank you for your attention to this important matter, and I look forward to welcoming you officially to our team."
I replied asking if I should wait for an email verification code or if they're still waiting on my responses to the interview questions sent.
The 'hiring manager' Kevin Gregory Krajewski sent an email telling me to check my phone for the code.
I responded with "Hi Kevin,
Could you answer the questions I asked?
I received the code, but it also states to not share the code with anyone."
I haven't recieved any response since.
My partner and I also attempted to call the office multiple times. The line was re-directed to John Rutherford with no answer whatsoever.
I have no idea if they're just gathering information to sell, but this does not seem to be a legitimate company or opportunity.
Do not waste your time.
