      Entretien pour Email Marketing Manager

J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez Einstein Industries

      Entretien

This was a 3 step process: quick 10 minute phone interview, then an in person interview, then a second interview by a panel of 5. From phone interview to in person was about 2 weeks; I was quickly called for the second interview which was scheduled for the following day. I had originally applied for a different position; I was told that it the scope of the job had changed, although in the same field. I can deal with that. Questions were average, but i was surprised to find they were more focused on the original position (digital marketing manager) that I had applied for, and less relevant for the revised position (email marketing manager). I'm really writing this to agree with the other reviewer who uncovered the flaw in Einstein's hiring process, and that is the practice of telling a candidate that they decided to go with someone else while at the same time reposting the ad. I received a voicemail at about 9AM saying they were "going forward with another candidate that blew them out of the water"; at about 6pm i saw the position reposted on linkedin with the timestamp saying it was posted 9 hours prior. That coincided precisely with the time i received the voicemail. One must wonder if lying is endemic in the corporate culture, or if the recruiter just didn't know how to handle this type of situation.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review and we apologize that you felt as if you were misled with our decision to not consider you for our Email Marketing Position. First let me explain that the scope of the interview did in fact lead down other roles within marketing, as this is a new position for us. While the initial role will be heavily focused in Email Marketing, we want to ensure that we are exploring all of the talents that a candidate can offer, as we feel this position will grow into a leader in our company. In regards to the re-posting of our position, I assure you that in fact this was the truth in stating there was another candidate that "blew us away". We did move forward with a different candidate, however, the candidate did then decide to decline the opportunity, hence the re-posting of our job. As we interview in bunches, as most companies do, we then reposted the job to start the interview process again looking for the perfect candidate. Again, we apologize that you felt misled, but want to ensure you that our reasoning was sound and honest with you. We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors. -The Einstein Team
