I originally applied for the Account Manager opening and was reached via email to set up an initial phone interview with the Director of Operations/Head of Staff just prior to the holiday break. Our call went very well and was very comfortable. I was then asked to have a call with the Director of Sales which was a great call as well! If I was to move to the next round it would be an in office face to face interview. I received an email prior to the holiday break that they would not be moving forward with the Account Manager role but if I was interested, they wanted to bring me in for another opening they had which was the Applications Support Analyst role, so I decided that I would move forward with the opportunity they presented! A face to face interview was set up in the Boston office just after the New Year.
During my face to face interview, I met with the Director of Ops/Head of Staff first and went over a few items about the new role and any questions I may have for her. After I met with her, I met with 3 other eHana employees (including the CEO). My second interview was with the Director of Sales and this role would fall in his department. My conversations with both the Director of Ops and Director of Sales were great and felt like we left off as we did just during our phone interviews. My third interview was with the Applications Support Analyst team lead. This was also a great conversation and she had scenario type questions for me to answer. Nothing too difficult but more so of what would fall under the "what would you do in this situation?" type of questions.
My final interview was with the CEO and he was interested in my past business ownership background which impressed me! It was a great conversation and very comfortable. More of a relationship builder conversation.
All in all my face to face interviews went about 2.5 hrs but I felt they went very well and comfortable. After my interview the Director of Ops came back in and asked if I had any other questions for her and she walked me out to their office door.
If I proceeded on the next round I would get a writing assignment. Since I moved onto the next round I received this assignment which included three client scenarios on a Friday (1 day after the face to face). This assignment was to be completed and submitted by the end of day Monday but I completed it early Saturday morning and submitted it early! The team would review the answers together and get back to me once their review was complete. I received and email Monday afternoon thanking me for submitting my assignment and stating that I would here back as soon as possible after their Tuesday meeting. If I made it past the assignment stage, they would conduct a background check and check with my references (which I had already given them during the face 2 face interviews).
I received an email 2 days later stating they will not be moving forward with my candidacy. Although I thought this was the one and was really hoping for a better outcome, I really enjoyed the interview process with the eHana team and the people I met!
