Question 1
How would you approach a (consultative) sales call?
J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 1 semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez Ecolab (Montréal, QC) en mars 2025
Entretien
Phone interview in English with an HR representative.
Typical interview questions, along with questions about managing conflict situations, tense situations, etc.
There were still many questions about our knowledge of the company for a preliminary HR interview.
My advice is to respond with less technical examples. I answered by providing technical examples, while I was speaking with an HR representative, and I believe this may have hurt me. I received no feedback after the interview, not even an automated email, nothing. This is a lack of professionalism, especially considering they expect us to know a lot about them for a preliminary interview.
It's disappointing because the job seemed good, and the company seems nice too, but such cold recruitment practices give a bad impression and harm the company’s reputation.
The interview process consisted of two interviews. The first was a normal 30 minute interview and the second was more of a conversation just about the job. I thought the interview questions were very similar to most interviews. There were a few situational questions.
