The interview process was average It is very hard to contact the recruiters for any feedback The guy I interviewed with seems very new and junior in his role. He was a hr person The questions he asked over and over again basically had the same answers, so it's obvious he doesnt know much about agile and the role He frequently made funny noises over the phone which was very irritating It seems from the questions he was asking that he was reading off a script and couldn't even understand answers - advice get a hr rep that knows a little about the role I would not want to join this kind of company which treats candidates this way Shows alot about the culture

I interviewed with EPiC (Singapore office) in January, received a conditional offer (conditional that my first client placement is in place) in March, and had committed to an international move to take place in August with a target start date in September. I had turned down two other final offers for the conditional offer because the people at EPiC were so kind and I had hope. The people of EPiC are incredibly positive, which in this case happened to also be a blindside. As time progressed, I noticed I had to chase updates in terms of client interviews and when I could potentially start. I was told that once the visas were processed it would be a good time to put in my notice because the client match should be easy. Around July I asked for help in organizing the client interviews, at which point my 3rd HR contact (the other two had been dismissed or left) asked if I had other offers on the table or if I was just moving for EPiC. I found this shocking as they knew I turned down two other offers for them in March. I should have taken this as a warning sign but remained positive, the team simply seemed so nice to work with I wanted to give them a chance. I met with them in Singapore in September and everything still seemed in line for me to start, with a slight delay because proposals were still on the table. For months I was constantly reassured a client match was hopefully right around the corner. With time it became apparent there was no client for me in the near future and I began to make other arrangements. It’s now almost December and I still haven’t heard anything about when I could start or not. Although I appreciate the positivity, when it comes to moving a family abroad I learned that hope can also be falsely placed. While I’m sure the intentions to place me were coming from a good place, I was disappointed to have moved internationally only to find out there were not enough clients to turn my offer into a final offer. After I started talking with other companies in Singapore, I realized that I was not the first person to be semi-hired and left in the dark. I don’t mean to hurt the people of EPiC with this narrative, but only shed light on the process for others considering working at EPiC as it was in-transparent and in the end heart-breaking for me. I hope this helps those considering choosing the conditional offer from EPiC over other offers to have more information in the decision-making process.
