The position was a team lead role for Meta Network Operations outsourced through EOS and the team who interviewed me were based in NY and SG and were hiring for somebody to supervise the Meta Network Operations team based in West Coast. They were nice and asked a lot of questions about STP, how to troubleshoot broadcast storm, how to troubleshoot spanning tree issues and what commands do you use, do you know anything about 802.1x, can you describe the DHCP process, difference between HSRP and VRRP, have you done failover scenarios and please describe, what about wireless do you know the wifi standards, what command you use to show BGP status and routes, are you familiar and have you handled Juniper SRX, how do you handle stress, what improvements have you presented and have done in your previous role, what have you done with the colocation experience you had, and most importantly they asked if you have any team lead role experience and pointed out where in my resume it was. I believe they are looking for someone who has been a team lead for sometime for a Network Operations role as most of my experience were as Network Engineering individual contributor.
