The Interview process took a month or so. First an online application which was very easy and straight forward, then a questionnaire "What was your most greatest achievement and why?". Then an Online Hire Vue interview with several STAR questions and one technical question( which I thought should have covered everything). The last interview was the assessment Center. The Interview was very great honestly, the candidate pool I was with were amazing (6 people).
So the assessment center had 4 stages, the first stage was a 1-1 with HR and then group exercise and then a technical task. During the first stage of the assessment center, something felt off about my interview. I was asked a lot of personal questions like what do your parents do, how did you grow up, how did you survive in China, what do you like/hate about China(note that I am a foreigner in China)...Some I cant even mention here. After this stage of the assessment I just felt bad and disappointed. It felt to me like I was called for some kind of research or something else but not an interview. By this time I already knew I didn't get the job by the first half of the assessment center. I was already unhappy, didn't stretch myself for the rest of the interview, I was just waiting for it to be over and leave.
