The A/B testing round felt one-sided, with me primarily providing explanations without engaging in a deeper conversation to explore the intricacies of the choices involved. And the technical analysis round felt overly simplistic, with unclear expectations. The interviewer seemed to interrupt frequently, hindering the ability to express thoughts fully.

Screening -> Tech assessment (SQL & data wrangling using R/Python) -> Hiring manager interview (30 mins - Background and some tech questions depending on the role) -> Virtual onsite (didn't happen for me) Hiring manager asked to define metric for testing impact of color change of a button on a landing page. I asked 2 clarifying questions and defined the behavior to measure as numerator and unit of analysis as denominator thereby explaining components of CTR, and he says, "No, it's called Click through". His second question was," how would you design the test?", and I mentioned all the steps, but his response was intermittent ok, ok, ok. After that he seemed to have lost all interest in asking follow-up questions or answering my questions. Maybe he was looking for specific keywords and wasn't interested in the detailed process of developing an AB test. If he felt I was giving more detailed answers than required, as an HM he should have known how to provide direction to the interview and or at least act professional on the call. It seemed like he was a non-technical manager managing a team of data scientists asking technical question in an interview.
