      Entretien

      I was approached by HR Door Dash via LinkedIn. First Video Interview with HR (30 Minutes) were the usual questions. Overall the athmosphere was not too comportable. I cannot explain why but the vibe was just off. Maybe because the HR person did not seem very interested in the interview. When she told me at the end that there will be a numerical test in the next round and I started asking her a bit more about it, she kind of got irritated and did not seem to know much about it. Half an hour after the interview she wrote to me saying she was wrong aout the numerical test. There would not be one after all. The second round was a 15 minute interview where the interviewer in Australia came late, which left 14 minutes. She looked kind of dishevelled and had a messy kitchen in the background. Maybe she had been interrupted whilst cooking. She was not particularly enthusiastic either (like the HR person from the first round). She said Door Dash needed to recruit quickly and that she would get back to me in a coupe of weeks (??). When I asked her about further steps she said, 2x 3 interviews (in total 6) a case study and a final interview at the end. Sorry but this is bonkers. I would have to bill them for my time ( i thought). I am still waiting for them to get back to me, but am sure that I do not want to work for a company that employs such un-enthusiastic employees and has such an over lenghty interview process.

      Entretien

      I did not apply for this role but rather was reached out to be a recruiter within the company. She was lovely and understood my background and was super responsive and moved me forward to be interviewed by the 2 hiring managers. Essentially the process is 2 x 30 minute back to back 1:1 interviews. One aspect of it is real world questions related to the role and the second is more about getting to know you. The guy who interviewed me asking about real world situations seemed super egotistical and tended to cut me off or question me decisions. It was really off-putting and seems like some kind of tactic they teach you when doing interviews. I knew it wouldn't work out after that. I was not progressed which I knew but I honestly don't think the structure of these interviews is conducive to finding the right candidate.
