Hiring process was very straightforward and transparent. Excellent communication with HR recruiters who provided consistent communication and clear next steps. I had a phone call with the HR recruiter first, then shortly after with a Manager of Merchant Partnerships. Both phone calls went extremely well. The big interviews were with two SPM managers, in separate Zoom calls. One asked me behavioral questions related to my past experiences and the other provided case study questions to see my ability to strategically think and problem solve, all related to DoorDash case scenarios. Very positive experience, everyone was professional and pleasant. Unfortunately I wasn’t offered the position, even though I am a strong candidate and would have brought tremendous dedication and passion to the role. The email from the HR recruiter didn’t specify why I wasn’t chosen, even though they mentioned I have a strong background. Is it because I don’t have restaurant/ retail experience? I would’ve appreciated more detail because what I lack in experience I can definitely learn and it doesn't take away from what I have to offer. Might be a case where they already had an internal or referral candidate in mind as well. While I was really disappointed, it wasn’t meant to be and that’s ok. I know another company will see the enormous talent and dedication I have to offer, but I wanted to write a review because the interview process has been the most seamless and professional that I’ve had lately. I’ve been interviewing a lot since having been laid off from the job I loved due to COVID. Anyways, thank you DoorDash for a great interview experience regardless but you really missed out on an exceptional employee :)

Applied online and got an Interview call within a week from a third party HR company that was contracted to screen for DD - The next round had 2 Interviews, one with the Hiring Manager and the other with someone in the same role to check cultural fit. The final round is a case study and a presentation
