      Entretien

Interview process was a fairly standard and expected. The initial phone screen was done with someone in Mexico which was very odd as it was a US corporate position and she couldn't understand questions like "Can you tell me about what the reporting structure looks like for the role?" The other thing that was very interesting is how I didn't interview with any white US males - out of all eight people I met/worked with - that doesn't seem like diversity - it just seems like a very strongly focused and purposeful exclusionary DEI program. Everyone for the most part was pretty pleasant with the exception of their new CISO. He is a piece of work. Shows up eight minutes late to the interview, even though he was working from home. Due to the late start, I never got to ask him any questions - so that was nice. It was interesting too because through the interview process it was mentioned a lot of people have left since he's joined and I can see why. I've been caught up in layoffs in my last two roles (last in first out, of course) and he had the audacity to ask me why I didn't stay in my roles very long - even after I explained that I had been laid off. Meanwhile, after reviewing his LinkedIn, he's bounced around in his career - sat in his last role for only 2.5 years - one was even for under a year. Again, he clearly is not from the US originally so I can maybe give him some grace for being so dense - but truly so happy I don't have to work for this guy. I have to believe that was the reason I wasn't selected as the conversation seemed to be going well up until that point. Recruiting team said I would know something by Friday, got an email at midnight that they needed until Monday - heard that I didn't get the position on Wednesday. 0/10 for follow through and having any sort of respect for people's time. Don't waste your time with this place.
