J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Destination Hotels (Olympic Valley, CA) en mai 2023

      Entretien

Two rounds of interviews about a week apart. Called after first to tell me that the position I applied/interviewed for didn’t exist and that they had posted two listings for the same role: senior and regular. Also that salary range was inaccurate and I should expect much less than posted salary. Came off very “sketchy”, but really liked the team in my interview and the role seemed like a good fit, so skeptically agreed to second interview. Second interview felt like a manipulative sales pitch to convince me to settle for a lesser pay and role despite having 4+ times the experience they listed as a requirement and being asked in the first interview why I would “take a step back” in my career for this role. Post second interview, I was no longer interested in the role. However, I WAS surprised that there was absolutely no communication from them despite being told by my interviewer that they’d follow up within the week. Eventually found out from another contact that they’d hired for the role and that they actually posted 3 separate listings for the role, all at different salaries. Seems like a really manipulative way to get around California’s new law requiring salaries to be listed. While I am glad I got to see what kind of company they were before I signed my life over to them, it really turns me off to Destination Hotels and Hyatt in general. Please be careful in accepting a position from any company that runs their hiring process this way. If they’re deceitful and manipulative before you even start, you can likely expect that to continue throughout your employment with them.
