Was contacted by a contract recruiter about a few positions they had open, including a media planning position with a focus on search. Went through the usual info i.e. # of accounts/budget/keywords, ad group strategy & setup, etc.
The office & employees were cool and laid back, very knowledgeable. However the contract recruiter they hired to work for them was terrible about follow-up both leading up to and after the interview. For this position though, it looks like they didn't even hire someone from the outside and instead promoted a media coordinator into the role. Why waste time bringing people in if you're going to do that?!?
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
Describe how you'd set up ad groups for a campaign.
Got my first interview scheduled after applying for the position, which included a phone screening with HR, where I was asked basic questions about my resume. HR asked about the second interview schedule, but I haven't heard anything else.

It was quick and easy, hiring manager was very accommodate, friendly and honest. I explained to them that I had no media background and they hired me anyway with no expectations and offered to teach me about media from scratch.

It was two rounds of interviews, one with HR and the other with the media planning team under dentsu Manila, PH. Once done with my first interview, they notified me 30min after that I qualified for the next round of interviews - I found that quite sketchy but took it anyway. The next round had typical questions asking about my experiences as an undergrad and my interest in the role - I got along well with the team and it was overall a pleasant interview experience. I got the job offer and I tried to negotiate my base salary (the guts for an entry-level!). I made it clear that even if the salary is non-negotiable, I am still open to negotiating further in other non-monetary benefits (e.g. leaves, starting date). A week after asking for negotiation, they informed me that they had to put my role on hold. I was gutted by the decision for sure, but after another week I saw that they reposted the job posting for the same role 🙃 It honestly made me glad that I didn't push through with the job offer as I thought this was already telling of the environment they have in the company, and how they will eventually treat me.
