      Entretien

The application process for me was very easy, simple, and moved very fast. I completed the application a few days after it opened and on that same day, I completed the assessment, virtual job tryout, and the on-demand video interview. After that, I received my F2F invitation to Atlanta. To start the day, everyone waited in the lobby where we socialized and got to know each other. You are being watched from the moment you walk in the door. I could just tell. From there, we checked in and were taken up to the interviewing floor. When we walked in all of the FAs were at the door clapping for us. We had time to mingle with the FAs for a little bit before it was time to start the day. I will say I don't feel like I even got five minutes to mingle so use your time wisely. The first FA I spoke with threw me off with her overexaggerated welcoming tone. I wondered if I should match her level of energy or be myself. I chose to be myself. Then, we got the rundown of the day and were split into groups. My group did the group activity first, then the jumpseat and reach test. We were taken back to the group activity room where we had to answer a list of questions. Just answer the questions as they are listed. Do not add anything else. Our recruiter had to repeat multiple times, just answer the questions because people were rambling. After that, my group did the 1:1 interview. During the group activity, you want to make sure you speak up, speak clearly, and work well with your teammates. After the activity, you'll be asked two questions about how everything went for your team. During the 1:1 interview, my FA told me more about the company and then asked me two questions. They were easy. Just have your stories ready to go and answer in STAR format. There is also another activity in the 1:1 interview. After that, I was taken back out to mingle again and we wrapped up the day with a presentation about the company. Some YouTube videos tell you to ask questions during this part. However, during this time the recruiters are in a room making their final decisions so I don't know how much that really matters. Overall, the day went by really fast. It did feel intense because it's the #1 U.S. airline. Throughout the day, any chance I could I would try to spark up a conversation with the FAs to show how interested I was. I feel like the group activity is make or break. The 1:1 was easy. Pay attention to your emails. They will give you a lot of good information on what to wear and about the process. They also have YouTube videos posted. Some of the FAs in the videos are at the F2F so let them know you watched and connect with them through that. Some are also on their social media pages and I brought that up. I noticed some people didn't abide by the dress code colors Delta wanted us to wear and still got a CJO. At the end of the day, we were released by zones. The last group got the CJO and the rest were told to look out for an email. It was the TBNT email and I got it about a week later. Getting sent home is the worst part of the day. Just know you didn't get it but try again in three months. The way the FA popped her head into the van and said to watch out for that email in 7-10 days was very unnecessary because we all knew we didn't get it. I enjoyed my experience and was glad to be there but it also felt kind of fake.

There are two assessments before the first self-recorded video interview. The first is the values assessment. The second is the virtual job tryout where they ask situational questions and you have to answer which is the most likely response and least likely response.

Applied in early September 2024. Was moved to the test assessment/ video interview in late October 2024. Found out early December 2024 that I got the in person interview and it is scheduled for early January 2025!!! It has taken a lot of patience but has given me ample time to get ready and feel prepared. The test assessment was fairly simple, took maybe 30 minutes. They do test your listening and memorization so pay close attention to directions. Video interview was 5 questions where I had 6 attempts to answer each question in 3 minutes or less. I've been watching a ton of flight attendant vlogs and I've done 3 mock interviews to get ready for my in person event day. Wish me luck! My advice to anyone applying for ANY flight attendant position: 1. safety is the most important thing! Try tying everything back to safety 2. Avoid the standard "I love people. I love travel" answers. Dig deeper!! 3. Learn more about the company. There are so many airlines out there. You might align with one company's mission and values but not another.
