Position in Orange County,CA - applied November 19, 2013 - phone interview November 20, 2013
Applied online at delta.com which consisted of uploading resume, taking online assessment, and completing application. I received a phone call the following day from "00" I let the call go to voicemail. The call happened to be from someone in HR at Delta and asked to return call anytime between 0700-2300 central time.
I returned the phone call later the same a day, and greeted by a highly animated and very friendly rep in HR...who asked if I had a moment to answer a few questions. I must admit he had me laughing the entire 15-20 minutes or so on the phone. At the end of the call, he placed me on a brief hold while he entered notes related to our phone call, stated everything went well and that he was submitting my information to the folks in Santa Ana, CA - he also mentioned someone locally with delta may call or email within a few day to set up interview...however with Thanksgiving holiday approaching could be a little longer.
At this point I'll cross my fingers and eyes that I get that call to set up F2F interview, if not then it wasn't meant to be.

The entire process was very nice and not too lengthy about 3 weeks to a CJO.
3/29 - I applied online and did 2 assessments
4/1 - I was invited to a video interview
4/5 - Scheduled a face to face for 4/9
4/9 - Face to Face
4/11 - CJO
The video interview is a little weird but you have unlimited retakes just be yourself. They used the S.T.A.R. method in interviews so familiarize yourself with that style before doing your interview.
Now the face to face is a lot of fun. There are about 30 applicants there with you for various customer service jobs so don’t feel discouraged by the number. You will play an ice breaker that will test your skills on “reading books by their cover.” Keep in mind the interview starts when you walk through the door, there will be several interviewers walking around taking notes during every phase. After the long ice breaker/introductions, you will peel off and wait for your face to face. It is a long wait and you’re selected at random but stick in there. It’s only 4 QUESTIONS!! All in S.T.A.R. format. One surrounding your compliance to safety, another based on your ability so smooth out customer interactions, another on you ability to resolve issues before they escalate and I apologize I am drawing a blank on the last question.
At the end of the interview they will stress a two week waiting period but I received my phone call with my CJO 2 days after my interview. Hope this helps someone.. Good luck. Go Delta!!
