      Pretty smooth and friendly interviewers. It could be more of a conversation than technical questions, depending on the interviewer. You should be aware of the current trends in the tech industry and how that has implications on Dell as a company

      I had a really bad experience with the second interviewer. She really gave me a hard time. The process was supposed to be three cases and a final behavioral interview, all via video. My first interview was an hour+ case interview. It went extremely well. However, it all went downhill during my second case interview. The second case interviewer specifically said that I had calculated a gross margin incorrectly when I had not. I repeated the gross margin figure more than once. I don't know if she was having issues hearing me through the video conference tool. I noted this during the interview, but she insisted she heard a different figure. Additionally, at one point, she asked me whether I was using excel to calculate my figures. I stated that I was and she proceeded to state that it was not allowed because it was not fair to other candidates. Nowhere in my initial conversation with the recruiter, as well as my first case interview was I told that using a digital calculator was not allowed. I am certain that this, along with the perceived calculation error, are why the interviewer chose not to move my candidacy along. I also constantly had to repeat my methodology for generating other numbers throughout the case, so either: -The interviewer wasn't paying close attention to what I was saying -The interviewer was pulling some sort of tactic, wherein the goal was to cause me to question my numbers -Sound quality was a problem throughout. They appear to be making up "rules" as they go along. Any rules regarding calculator usage should have been communicated to me beforehand, during the initial recruiting call. I'm also not sure how you're supposed to regulate this when the interview is over video. They may want to invest in flying people out for an onsite, to make sure they abide by their "rules."
