The initial interview itself wasn't difficult. I really enjoyed meeting the recruiter and was excited about the next steps. However, how the recruiter handled our relationship after the interview was completed didn't seem to align with Deel's values or culture....particularly "genuine care" and "Deel speed". If it's one thing that bothers me is a company posting values to "look good" and not actually having them as a part of their culture.
At the end of the call, the recruiter told me I would hear from her within 24-hours. That was November 26th. Of course, I sent my standard "thank you for making the time to speak with me" email the day of the interview. I then waited a week to follow-up, and then one more follow-up another week later. All of my communications were ignored. Finally, three weeks later, I received a template rejection notice.
Now, I don't mind the process. This is pretty standard with companies today. But, if this is your process, then own it. Do not tell someone they'll hear from you in XX amount of time and then not follow through.
