J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Dataminr (Seattle, WA) en août 2017
Entretien
I had one initial phone screening, one phone interview, and one on-site interview with four people interviewing me. The first phone screening took half an hour, phone interview took about 45 minutes, and the on-site interview took an hour and a half. I really enjoyed speaking to everyone, enjoyed the location (Seattle!!), and it seemed like everyone was friendly and down to earth. The process took about three weeks.

Applied online and heard back after 3 weeks to set up a phone screen interview. Most of the questions are about following news stories and Twitter. Also went over my resume, which caught me off guard a little.

I first had a recruiter screen, which lasted about 30 minutes. She was friendly and open. I waited a full week to follow up about next steps, after which the recruiter coordinated another phone interview with the Director. That call was also 30 minutes. He was friendly but also very down to business, wasting no time with "how are you? tell me about yourself, etc". He told me then that I would be moving on to the writing assessment. The assessment was a timed 25 minute test with no immediate feedback. I waited another week to follow up to see what the results were. I was then asked to come for an on-site interview. This is a loop interview with four individuals, each with similar but different questions. The first two didn't crack a smile or show much interest, and it was very difficult to gauge the outcome. The third was a very friendly and approachable DE, who due to her apparently always chipper disposition was also difficult to read. The final interviewer was the Director who came in without questions and just made himself available for questions.
I heard back two days later that I will not be moving on. It's difficult to say why.
In all, it was sort of annoying to constantly have to follow up and it was also a little frustrating to not know the starting pay after having already invested three weeks. Otherwise, the people seem very capable and seem to love their job.

First of all the process was conducted by multiple people and not all of my experiences were positive. I had two different phone interviews with people in the company and took a writing assessment test. The first interview went ok and was very basic although the interviewer could not answer all of my questions. We discussed how I found the job and what I knew about Dataminr and then I was allowed to ask questions about the position. The second interview was horrible and from the moment I picked up the phone, I felt like I was boring the interviewer. They sounded disinterested and answered most of my questions with half responses or monotone yes/no. Before I had the chance to even thank the interviewer or express my interest in the position, they interrupted me with a curt "It was nice to talk to you, ok?" and then hung up. The interview process is nerve-wracking and tough for any job, so it does not help if your interview is disinterested and unprofessional over the phone. Kind of glad I didn't end up getting the job offer because I don't want to work with someone who immediately makes me feel inferior.
