      Entretien

I applied for a position directly on their website. Being that the position was local to my community, I expected to have a more personal interaction with the recruiter. The position was framed as them having a direct relationship with the client. I was reached out to by the recruiter stating that the client was interested. As the conversation unfolded they mentioned that they applied via the state portal that the job was held. Something I can do on my own. This was not mentioned before I gave the ok. Then the recruiter asked if I could send my ID for a location verification and that the portal asked. This is not true as I have used that portal to apply to select jobs. I am not sure how they are functioning here, but this is a very unprofessional tactic. Do not apply through them as they are being dishonest about their process.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

Can I have a copy of your ID? The portal needs it to verify your location.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. We want to clarify that our goal is always to be transparent about our process and to support candidates throughout each step. In some cases, roles tied to state or government systems do require submission through an official portal, and our recruiters aim to guide applicants through those requirements while coordinating directly with the client when applicable. We understand, however, that this may not have been clearly communicated upfront in your case, and we apologize for any confusion this caused. Regarding the request for identification, we take candidate privacy and security very seriously. Any such request should always be clearly explained, including why it is needed and how the information will be used and protected. We regret that this did not come across appropriately and will address this internally to ensure better communication moving forward. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, as feedback like yours helps us improve. If you’re open to it, we would welcome the opportunity to speak with you directly to understand your experience better and make things right.
