      Entretien

**THEY MAY REVOKE YOUR OFFER ** The interview process was lovelt, they let me do everything over the phone or webcam to accommodate my busy work schedule. But that meant that when they offered me the position, I had never met anyone or even seen the office. I was happy with the salary, but once I asked for the deadline to confirm (I wanted a couple of days to think about it as I had never met anyone and I was interviewing at more than one place and needed some time to think about my options) the HR woman started to get really upset with me. She raised her voice and said that I accepted the offer when I agreed to the salary, and asked "Well, what else is there to think about!?" but I never received anything in writing or a detail of the benefits included, despite my requests for them numerous times. I set up a meeting to come in the following business day to check out the office and meet my potential manager, but when I got there the HR woman was in the meeting too, and she voiced her annoyance with what she felt was my being duplicitous, which made me very uncomfortable. I tried to recover the meeting to express my genuine interest in DPR and the opportunity and that night I sent a note eagerly accepting the position and begging them to quickly send over the offer letter. The next day I got a call from the HR woman saying that they were "revoking their offer" and when I asked why, she said "(the manager) feels very confident in revoking your offer as she felt you were being hesitant about the role." I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT! How can you revoke an offer because of perceived hesitance?! I tried to email the manager directly to plea with her for my interest in the position but it was too late. I confirmed it with a career counselor and he said that this was completely unprofessional and that the only reason to revoke an offer is if the applicant's references do not check out, or if the position itself is taken off the market (due to budget pullbacks, etc.) If you are interested in working for DPR, the company seems like a great place to work, but if your intention is to negotiate or discuss the details of your employment, do not do it with the HR woman as she is very unprofessional and do not expect to receive those details until after you have accepted the position, I guess.
