      Entretien

The interview process was poorly managed. I went through three rounds: recruiter, hiring manager, and two additional leaders, with the expectation of a fourth round afterward. From the very beginning, I was upfront about my salary expectations with the recruiter, who told me it was within range and moved me forward. I repeated my expectations again with the hiring manager to avoid any confusion. After completing the third round, I was told I had done well and would likely move forward. Only then did the recruiter come back and say the salary cap was $90K significantly lower than what I had consistently communicated. At that point, I tried to be flexible and asked if they could meet at $95K, but indicated I was still interested either way. After that, communication completely dropped off. I heard nothing for three weeks and had to follow up myself, only to be told they had gone with another candidate and “thought” they had already notified me.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We sincerely appreciate the effort candidates invest throughout our interview process and regret that your experience did not meet expectations. At DLP Capital, we strive to ensure alignment on both role expectations and compensation throughout the process, though in some cases evolving internal discussions around scope, leveling, and compensation can create unintended disconnects between stakeholders. We recognize there were communication gaps here, particularly around timing and follow-up, and understand how frustrating that can feel after investing significant time in multiple conversations. We appreciate your professionalism and flexibility throughout the process and truly wish you the best in your continued search.
