Applied online and submitted my resume. Within 4 days, a recruiter emailed me to set-up a time for a basic phone screen.
The phone interview was 30 minutes and was a typical 'tell me about yourself' and 'why are looking for a new opporunity?' style interview. The recruiter described the position and allowed me to ask any questions I had. Towards the end of the interview he said that he would be sending me a link to an online assessment and would reach out once the assessment the had been completed.
The assessment was an analytical/technology test. The technology assessment is painfully out of date (references to MySpace and Napster), while the analytical portion was somewhat difficult. Within 48 hours of completing the assessment, the recruiter emailed me to say that I was going to be moved to the next phase-in person interview with the hiring manager.
When I arrived at the call center, the security guard did not have my name or appointment information, and insisted that I had come on the wrong day. Despite showing him the email I received from the recruiter, he hesitated to call the person I was interviewing with.
The actual interview seemed slightly disorganized. The interviewer appeared like they had not read my resume beforehand, and was surprised by of the things listed on the resume. It also appeared that she was making questions up off the top of her head, instead of having pre-written questions written down.
As we went through the questions, it was clear that I was not going to be selected, but she decided to confirm my salary expectations, possible start dates, and went over benefits information with me anyways. After the interview, we went on a tour of the call center, and I was asked to complete 2 more assessments. A total of 2.5 hours were spent at the call center. 45 minutes for the interview, and the rest were completing the assessments at the hiring kiosk.
Within 2 days of the interview, I received the 'sorry we did not select' email.
