recruiters reached out to me but didn't read my profile thoroughly. Made it to the 2nd round where I was told the role wasn't a good fit for me. Interviewer in the 2nd round was nice about it

Entretien
I applied through their website after finding the job ad on LinkedIn. After a few days I received an email telling me my background looked like a good fit and I could even possibly be overqualified. I was scheduled for a first round call with a recruiter from the agency who asked me about my background and experience, but it was clear when I talked about my role, the interviewee had no knowledge of strategy at all and seemed a bit lost when I talked about my approach to work.
A few days later I received a vague email saying I "wasn't the right fit". I emailed back asking for more feedback as to why so I could learn for next time, but I got nothing back. I chased up and still got nothing back.
It's pretty frustrating to be interviewed by someone who didn't really know what they were interviewing me for and then to be given no feedback as to why I didn't progress further.
So if you're applying for a role, ask to be interviewed by someone who actually does the work there.
