The first interview was a phone interview arranged according to times I provided. The individual that interviewed me came across as somewhat annoyed to be doing the interview and was somewhat condescending. When the time came for me to ask questions, the interviewer kept cutting me off before I had finished asking the question. As a result, the interviewer answered the same question at least three times before I was finally able to get the whole question out. I’m sure I came across as an idiot for asking the same question repeatedly. At the end of the interview, the individual interviewing me had hung up before I had finished saying goodbye. It was a position I was excited about but the interview left me with a bad taste in my mouth and with a poor opinion of the company. Overall I was very disappointed with my experience and not surprised that I did not get a second interview.

The interview process was very straight forward and conversational. The process involved 1 screening call with the hiring manager, 1 task interview (virtual) with the managers of Professional Learning and 2 interviews with members of the Professional Learning Department (included 1 VP). The performance task required the facilitation of a 10-15 PD session. Interviewers were looking for engagement and strong facilitation skills. Questions during each interview were mainly situational and require you to lean on your experience to respond. Interviewers are assessing how you will fit into your role and if you model the company values as an educator. Drivers license is mandatory for this position.
