I was asked about my background, as it is very diverse, which wasn't a problem. But there was a doubt that I could do the job, which could have been expressed in a different way. Not to mention the fact that I was told that I would hear back regarding the role within in a week. I never heard anything back. So I reached out with a thank you email and for a status update. I never received communication regarding the status update, and then about two weeks later, I was told they were not offering me the role. I'm glad this happened because the reviews of the work experience itself are proving that there is something truly wrong with the leadership, professionalism, and energy of the management that runs the company. It pays to be open, nice, and responsive to both your employees and potential candidates, because that can make and break your company, especially a company that operates with a smaller team. Yes, you are a CEO, and you have an amazing company. But be HUMBLE and be COOPERATIVE. The management of this company could stand to use a bit more leadership savvy and HUMILITY.
