After applying for a senior marketing position, I was asked to send across a presentation task after leaving my interview, probably to display my skills in Canva and content creation. However, there was no response for a week, and in the meantime inspite of follow up, I left for my hometown. Two days after my departure, I received a phone call offering me a lower marketing role with potential for advancement, matching my previous salary. Excited about the opportunity, I returned to town for an in-person interview, interview was scheduled in the afternoon during a notified heatwave but received no response for another week. Eventually, I was informed via a generic rejection email informing me they wanted someone with more experience.
