I applied for a job at Cubic in London. The interview process was long and slow. After the initial phone screening interview, I had 2 online interviews (1 hr each) which included technical competency tests and the final in person interview. The job was adertised as a fairly junior position but some of the questions were a bit above that level (I had worked in senior positions before so I have a good idea about differences between junior and senior level of skills). There was 1 - 2 weeks of complete silence between the interviews. Eventually, each time I called the office to find out what the outcome of the particular stage was. At the same time I interviewed with another two companies and each one offered me a job while I was still waiting for Cubic to tell me how the final interview had gone. I rang twice but they still had not made a decision. I decided to accept one of the offers I had already received without bothering to inform Cubic about it. Eventually, 3 days after I had accepted one of the offers, Cubic phoned to tell me that I did not get the job.
In conclusion, the process was much too slow. Too many stages and too much time wasted for a junior/mid level position. I have managed to complete the interview process for two other companies in less than half of the time taken by Cubic (and the positions were much more senior).
