It wasn’t a real interview. I was told that the position was in Jacksonville, FL, that there wasn’t a moving package and that they would be hiring a total of 30 dispatchers. The interviewer was rude and not engaged, it was completely unprofessional. Knowing a lot of people at this company & in this department, I already knew what to expect, but it was worse than I could’ve imagined. CSX still operates the way that they always have. They advertise their jobs, but they already know who they’re going to give the job to before they ever interview; they’re just going through the motions, so don’t get your hopes up unless you know the upper echelon and you’ve had those people calling the hiring manager on your behalf. Accept the fact that it doesn’t matter that you meet all of the qualifications and then some, if you’re not friends with the good ole boys club, you’re not getting the job.
