I was applying for the role internally and it was quick! Got a call back straight away and interview is arranged. Both my direct report and his boss were present and they were very friendly yet professional. After I went back I told my manager I was applying for the role. He was supportive. And I got the position, with a pay rise factored into the offer shortly after!
