J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Crossover for Work en avr. 2021

I went through the full process basic Fit, IQ test, english proficiency 3 work assignments . It was a week full dedication. Then the interview went good. I received after that a email informing that simply I was not selected to the position. It’s not a convenient way to acquire talents for executive management positions. So it’s definitely a waste of time and will never do it again.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

IQ and English tests are quite difficult. The work assignments requires quality time and full concentration. The interview questions were manageable.

I passed 2 steps in my interview process: - Cognitive Aptitude Test: It is an 18min test with 50 questions, so you have to be agile to finish this assessment - English Test: It was divided into 2 parts: Sentence repetition and Oral composing in context

Upload Resume->Finish an assignment which consists of 3 parts: component model of a solution for a described product, MVP scope document and record a webinar for the engineers for it ->if you're selected you get to the interview with hiring manager.... The assignment was really very good - simple requirements but which require to think a lot and to investigate. I really enjoyed working on it. I could see that it was written by someone who knows how to set up such requirements. Unfortunately, after my own experience I concur with many negative descriptions I found on glassdoor about this company. Here are some of the hilights: 1) I received message from Minola "I'm happy to announce that we're giving away a brilliant book, The Phoenix Project: A Novel About IT, DevOps, and Helping Your Business Win, to everyone who completes the application process." - I finished the application process - they never sent any book. (I've checked the spam) 2) After investing enormous amount of time finishing all the written tasks and making a short video as requested, I'm finding out that they haven't even checked my work. They were checking my resume only - although they are saying that CVs are thing of the past for them! "Although your qualifications and experience are impressive, they are not a full match with what we are currently looking for in this role. Apologies, but we will not be moving forward with your application at this time." 3) So... to show me their appreciation they gave me a discount to purchase skill building tutorials - IN PROGRAMMING LANGUAGES - for $400k Senior Vice President of Product Management role ?!?! 4) I actually wrote them back: "I would greatly appreciate if you could be more specific about the skillset or experience you expect me to have for this managerial role. As you’ve said, I have invested great deal of time in this process and I’m quite interested in future Crossover positions. Such kind of insight and the ones from my written evaluation would be most valuable for me as it would pinpoint experiences or skills to acquire. The Treehouse trainings that I saw are all about software engineering skills in various programming languages and such. Best regards P.S. FYI, I haven’t received the copy of book The Phoenix Project: A Novel About IT, DevOps, and Helping Your Business Win. What happened with that?" Never got answer back from them. (Yes, I've checked the spam). My experience definitely shows that this company is not hiring "top 1%", at least not in all their departments.
