I didn't make it past the initial screening, and I'm ok with that, because this was the single worst process I've ever been involved in. Cracker barrel uses HireVue, which means that you will not talk to anyone. You will get videos of the recruiter asking you questions, and then you have 3 attempts to record yourself answering the question. This is an absolute abysmal way of interviewing and hiring. Interviews should be a conversation, not this cold, soulless, and, frankly, dystopian way of having a person talk to NO ONE and try to give good answers to their questions. This needs to change immediately. If you can't afford to have your recruiter make a call or just a virtual meeting, you don't deserve to hire anyone at all. Do better Cracker Barrel.
