I was selected as the candidate of choice because of solid background on call center operation management but once hired was not provided with the tools to operate

stars format is the method, and you can google the videos on what to expect. HR will also provide documentation on how to perform on an interview. I suggest you do some research as it can be quite daunting otherwise.
