On 10/30/2018, I applied for an Investment Analyst role on their career page. Didn't hear anything for a few weeks until I was contacted by a recruiter on 11/21 thanking me for applying for a role that I hadn't applied for. I questioned her about the role and found out that another recruiter actually referred me for this one instead of the one I applied for back on 10/30. We scheduled our call for 11/26, and discussed the role/company and what they were looking for. Although I hadn't applied for the role, I was very familiar with the company and basically matched with the role. The next day, 11/27, I completed an online pre-employment assessment. I passed so the next day, 11/28, I received a Demographic Survey. They were pleased with my personal and profession qualifications so we set up a call with the person I would report to that would be held on 11/30. That conversation went great so we moved forward with scheduling a call with the VP to be held on 12/5. The interview with him was EXTREMELY hard but for whatever reason he liked me enough to pass this information along to the recruiters. A few hours after my interview with him I receive a call from the recruiter that was over the role that I initially had applied for. She introduced herself and basically asked how I felt about everything so for and inquired if we had spoken about the salary range or not. I advised her that we discussed it but didn't go into specific details. A few hours later I received a call from the main recruiter and she advised that the VP really liked me and that they wanted me to come down to Atlanta to meet with the Team members and their psychology doctor for a written, analytical, and language skills assessment. On 12/6, we confirm the date I would come which was to be 12/14. The very next morning (super early) I receive a call from the recruiter of the initial role I applied for stating that the role had been placed on hold and she didn't have any details at the time. She stated that it would be 2-3 weeks before anyone knew anything. I texted my recruiter and asked if she had heard anything and she advised the role was in fact placed on hold but she wasn't entirely sure what happened. Apparently they were redesigning the role and updating the job profile. WOWWWWWWW!!! I followed up on 12/13, no contact back from her until 12/19 (quite terrible), followed up again on 1/7 and she advised she would have an update for me the following afternoon. NO FOLLOW UP. I reached out again on 1/15 and was advised the hiring manager was expected to have the job reformatted by Friday (1/18). Nothing on 1/18. Received an email on 1/21 stating that the job was still on hold until 2/1. On 2/8, I received an email stating, "the Technology team has decided that they will not be hiring the Telecom Analyst role at this time. Unfortunately, they do not have the budget for the role at this moment due to a couple of other changes on the team". I mean seriously what a complete waste of time.
