Flew to San Jose, CA for an In person interview with the hiring manager, Lase scientists (2), met with HR Manager, then gave a presentation to a group of managers, ( engineering, production, finance) on my territory management process. Was given a tour to the plant, which was empty. Not a single product was in WIP (this is a major red flag - they have now production going on). Interviewed with Controller. A week later the offer was made. I had to submit my travel expense 3 times, and it took over a month to be reimbursed (another red flag). I was told by the hiring manager that the new French owners were hands off and allowing them to operate autonomously. The hiring manager quite after 4 weeks of my starting. If you are not French you will be discriminated against.
