      STAY AWAY — BRAIN DRAIN ALERT!!! Round 1: easy phone screen Round 2: medium difficulty video interview with 2 people Round 3: present practice exercise to a panel of 4 — difficult, time consuming, unpaid, and a total “brain drain” Should have known better — the “exercise” was a real live promotion for a product/service they plan to roll out later this year. Always a red flag, but hope dies last. This was NOT a skills test! They actually want to hear ideas from creatives, aka free work for their company. One of the interviewers actually commented on my good ideas and said she was going to use one in particular in her own presentation. Despite my kick-ass presentation to help them roll out their Connections feature in Sept 2023, I was told they’d move on with other candidates (whose ideas they may be taking as well, if they even plan to hire for this “new position” at all!) Highly disappointing from this national brand, and it only irks me that my high school kid HAS to use them to take his SAT. Two thumbs down. Unethical at the very least.

We are excited to invite you to the next step in the process; an interview exercise and panel interview. In preparation for the panel interview, please complete the interview exercise described below. Interview Exercise Instructions: College Board is launching a new product in September 2023 called “Connections”. Using resources that are publicly available on the College Board website and the medium of your choice, please create a 5-7 minute presentation that explains what “Connections” is and how it complements an institution’s Search efforts. During the panel interview, you will have the opportunity to share your screen and present your exercise. We are excited to learn more about you through this task!
