The interview with the recruiter was fine. The problem was likely with the job description. The technical interview focused almost exclusively on the "nice to have" skills. Like Kafka and Redis. Which I mentioned are skills I lacked. I could tell the interviewer checked out. Wasted both my time and the interviewers. Put the skills you are actually looking for in the job description if it is important to the role.
