I applied at Clearwater for the SDE role at Noida Office through glassdoor. First-round was a hacker rank test: Total 8 questions: 4 MCQ(oops and expected output type questions) + other 4 were coding questions, out of which one is some class implementation question. I attempted all the MCQ questions and passed all the test cases of 3 coding questions and didn't attempt the class implementation question. I cleared this round. 1 F2F (with USA team, the panel consisted of 2 members): They shared a hackerrank link and asked me to share my screen, which consisted of 3 questions, you could move to the next question when you have solved the current question. I was able to solve the first question within a few minutes. I was also able to solve the second question but couldn't pass all the test cases. But the panel said that my approach is correct. This interview was of one hour and I could not solve the second question completely. Anyway, I was able to pass this round. The recruiter contacted me and scheduled the 2nd round and also said that in this round there will be 2 questions and I have to solve both with all the test cases passing to clear this round. 2nd round: I was successfully able to solve both the questions with all the test cases passing. Recruited contacted me and set up the 3rd round. He asked me to look at the Linkedin profile of the person who was going to interview me, he also told me that this will be a non-technical interview. Some 15 years experienced guy, who joined the firm merely 2 months ago took the interview. I looked at his profile and he had experience in Java and related technology. 3rd round(30 minutes): He went over to my resume. Asked about what I am currently working on. Then he asked me what recent technologies I have studied outside of my work. I said blockchain and docker and also told him that I have only a high-level idea. But he made it clear that he wanted to know more technical details about the things. The whole discussion went on along this line only. Basically, he was from a Java background and I am from a different tech stack. So he wanted to hear something that he knows and then ask questions about them to me. In other words, I can say he wanted to know what work I did apart from my regular work. The next day recruiter did not contact me, unlike any other rounds which I passed. I dropped him a mail regarding feedback, he did not reply. Then, I called him. He said that he will get back to me. But he did not reply. Then I again sent the mail the next day. And I got a response that I do not match with the skills and qualifications that they need. I feel that the interview process is okay but the thing that they rejected me over a 30 minutes discussion is really bizarre. Because they would have seen my skills on my resume or could place this 30-minute discussion to see the fit before the coding rounds as it could save a lot of time.
