Around 12 candidates were invited for the session beginning with a brief presentation by the VP about the background of the company and position itself. This was followed by a 45 minute test divided in two sections which examine a candidate's knowledge on financial derivatives such as options, swaps, etc and the concepts of cash, trade and positions reconciliation. To prepare myself for the MCQ on financial knowledge, I had briefly read up but the questions tend to go into the details such as notional price, gain or loss from a long and short, etc. Also, the financial knowledge test includes questions about Excel formulas mainly Average and Sum. For the reconciliation, a broker statement and Citco's statement showing cash and trade activities are provided and you are required to identify the breaks/discrepancies. The interview was conducted by two hiring managers with around 6-7 years of experience and lasted about 30 minutes. The kind of questions asked are: 1. Tell me about yourself. 2. Why do you want to work here? 3. Why should we hire you? (Focus on strengths) 4. What are your broader career goals? 5. What are some of the skills you gained at your previous jobs? 6. What are your salary expectations? I felt the interview was not particularly intimidating. As far as I can recollect, I was not asked any technical questions on the interview. But I do suggest you prepare for them as it depends solely on who interviews you. It's a common misconception that you'd be invited for the interview only if you have cleared the test but usually the candidates are divided into two groups - one for the interview and the other for the test and the process is repeated. Every candidate is given an equal chance. You need to do well on both the test and interview. Generally speaking, I found the recruitment specialist extremely helpful and receptive to any questions related to the process.

After entering the building, security guards guided to the floor where the interview is conducted. They gave the token and visitor id card and told to wait in a room. After sometime one person came in to collect the resume and escorted to the interview area. One by one they started calling the names for the interview.
