J'ai postulé via un établissement d'enseignement supérieur ou universitaire. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Cisco
Entretien
Had a phone interview. Then invited for onsite interviews. There were 3 interviews, technical, mini-presentation, and fundamental. The technical included 2 interviewers. The fundamental asked for puzzles, some projects i've worked on. The presentation was a simple presentation on internet of everything. The technical questions were on network troubleshooting. Overall it was a good experience, everyone was very nice and looked happy. The network engineer position is sort of a technical support position where you work with a customer to fix any networking issues. Not really a software engineer position, which is what I am more interested in after spending 4 years programming in college.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
The technical asked questions like if your friend is unable to connect to the internet, walk me through your troubleshooting process. If the temperature in your room is not changing after changing the thermostat, walk me through your troubleshooting process.
Also asked puzzles like if you have 8 balls and one is heavier than the rest. You are allowed to use a balance scale (with a left and right) twice, find the heavier ball.
The the Three Light Bulbs & Switches in a Room puzzle.
I applied online, heard back with in a week, initial recruiter screening, manager interview, technical panel interview, then manager interview again. Technical was a mix of fundamentals and a couple of pretty challenging ones to know off the top your head.
Very casual, unorganised interview. Interviewers talked for the majority and had no idea who I was before the interview i.e. didnt review my CV or experience. Any questions seemed very odd the cuff and unrelated to the job in question.
Very thorough and detailed. Expect in depth questions and be ready with reasonings. I did find it difficult at some points but overall i did prepare well. If you remember your past experiences and concepts you won’t find it that much difficult.
