I applied online by doing a basic questionnaire. I got a call back a few days later inviting me to do an interview. The interview was in a group setting with about 10 other candidates. Extremely easy interview with group activities (e.g. drawing posters etc). They basically wanted to see if you were able to work in a group. At the end they made you pick a random word out of a hat and talk about it (e.g. popcorn, nachos) for a minute.

My interview was a group one consisting of around 16 people. We waited around in the lobby until we were taken upstairs, where we were sat in groups on tables in a small meeting room. Firstly the managers and supervisors introduced themselves and we were told a little about the role. We then had to go round and tell everyone our name, why we'd like to work at cineworld and our favourite film and why. I'm a super nervous person but I was very laid back and felt welcomed. We then had to do a couple of tasks, including prioritising differing situations, working out some maths equations and making up a story consisting of only three letter words. We then had to pick two subjects and choose one to talk about in front of the rest of the group for one minute. I chose online bookings, but some other examples were popcorn, nachos, piracy, subtitles and IMAX. We then had to write down our work availability and that was it after being told about the job perks. I felt so so about the interview afterwards but got the call a few hours later to say I got the job! So good luck to anyone who is expecting a group interview, it's like being at school 😀

Applied on their careers website, got an email around a week later and was invited for a group interview few days after. Group Interview stage had two managers, a supervisor and one team member looking over us. There was around 20 of us (i think they had 3 groups of 20 on different days), each of us had to pick a word out of a hat and talk about it (the words were related to cinema). I got the word 'romantic films' so i just waffled on about that. It doesn't really matter what you say, they just want to see your personality. We then had to do a task in our groups of 5, had to make up a story using only certain words they gave you (they gave us 50 words) and had to read it out. They just see how to work together as a team here. We were then given a booklet on stuff about your experience and why you'd work there, at the end there were like 20 maths questions based on retail. For example, if popcorn is £4.00, and someone gets 25% off, how much would it be? Questions like that and you aren't allowed to use a calculator. That was the end, i got home and got a call saying i got through to the 1-1 interview stage. Got told i'm hired during that interview and few days after, met with the others who were hired too :)

Question 1
Could you give me an example of a time when you didn't disagree with someone about something? What did you do about it?
